Jazz is a friendly and energetic esk! He loves to meet new people and talk about their experiences, and he is known to have a very corny sense of humour. He takes great pride in his orchard home and will gladly take other esk and even animals on tours, explaining the differences in each variety of apple as they go.

Another one of his hobbies is dancing. While music is not all that common around his boundary, Jazz needn't travel far to hear the blaring of music from cars or houses. And failing that, he's opportunistic — the chorus of crickets will provide enough rhythm for him to bob his head.

The orchard where Jazz was transformed is very large, and home to many different kinds of apple varieties. Rows and rows of apple trees bloom in tandem and the paths between them are busy with workers. He often engages in people-watching, appreciating how they work and nodding along despite not understanding a word. He even has favourite workers, like the really strong-looking one who came in every day trying to beat his apple-picking record, or the one who seems to always have a funny joke.
