A sleeping giant — 2492 spends a lot of his time as an esk in stasis, hibernating against the side of his mountain home until the snow completely envelops him and nothing can be seen but his rocks. He's very reclusive and prefers to spend his days alone. When he finally awakens from his slumber, he is known to descend the mountain and help lost and struggling creatures on his way, gently guiding them, and in some cases using his body as a vessel to bring them to safety.

Before life as an esk, 2492 was a young man named Neil. He moved to a city in the south of Scotland where he worked an office job, and he also freelanced as an illustrator for extra cash. People around him knew him as upbeat, hard-working, and always eager to take on new challenges, although he was often too busy for them to really spend time with him.

His journey toward eskhood began when he received an unexpected diagnosis from the doctors. The shock of having to live with a new, chronic condition caused him to spiral and question his direction in life, whether the tireless work he had been putting toward his future in lieu of appreciating the present had been in vain. In the mess of trying to figure out who he was and who he wanted to be, he was found by Raaga. He was transformed into one of the Scrupulous Sentinels and finally given permission to rest.
