Completed February 2025.
A piece to showcase my newest Neopet - a Valentine Draik named syk3s. I adopted him from the pound and understand his name to be a reference to Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes, and I used that knowledge as minor inspiration for his design. I had a lot of fun working elements of grief into him and think they complement the soft colours and happy demeanour.
I experimented a little with repeating patterns and grey colours in this image. It took me a long time to sketch this out as I worked and reworked the pose several times, and I think this image is better for it.
