Joever
Completed June 2024.
This was a piece I created as a gift for FuzionSynth. It's a reference to a joke from his Crash Team Racing mod that he created for hypnoshark, in which Komodo Joe (voiced by Hypno) says "say goodbye to your fucking loved ones [...] it is officially Joever." I wanted to emulate Komodo Joe's icon as it appears on his boss garage but with a much more threatening vibe, so I drew it to appear as if he were breaking out of the confines of the game.
As an enjoyer of Nitro-Fueled, the CTR remaster, I took a lot of inspiration from his remastered design to draw him. I played around a lot with line weight to give focus to the closeness of Joe's hands as they reach up, and it was my first attempt at a subtle "scale" texture in places of light. The Adidas shirt is a further nod to the hypnoshark brand and community.
